September 18 - Friendly Reminder!

A friendly reminder to everyone on several things happening soon!

  1. Give forms to Cathy.  Specifically, she needs the Athlete Information Sheet, Parent Volunteer Opportunities Form, the I-19A (Parent Approval), the I-19G (Student Code of Conduct), and the UHSAA Physical Form A.  Please get these to her ASAP.

  2. Fee and Gear Forms are due to the East Treasurer by Friday, September 19.  If these are not turned in and fees paid, your suits won't get ordered.  Don't miss out! This is the link to the Fee and Gear Order Form.

  3. Wednesday, September 24th is the Noodles & Company Fundraiser. Athletes are encouraged to stay after workouts on Monday, September 22nd to help make posters.  A shift sign-up sheet will be available that day for swimmers.

For a little competition....Swimmers will be given flyers for the fundraiser to pass out to encourage people to come to this activity.  The swimmer who is able to have the most flyers with their names written on the back returned and redeemed at Noodles & Company the night of the fundraiser will win a FREE DINNER FOR SIX!

  4. Saturday, September 27th at 9:00 a.m. Paint the E!  Report to the "E" across the street from East wearing work clothes and carrying a paint brush, paint scrapter and/or roller.  The Team will supply the paint and swimmers will supply the work.  Let's show our team spirit!

  5. Saturday, October 4th is the Pancake Breakfast, Silent Auction and Bake Sale. The price for the breakfast has changed to $6 for students and $7 for adults.  We encourage EVERYONE to donate a basket or find items to donate to this important fundraiser.  The Information Sheet and donation request letter are available on the forms page.
Lastly, WE NEED YOUR HELP!  Please send an email to Clark Littleton, clittleton@slco.org, the director at the Salt Lake Sports Complex and ask him to change the outside pool lane lines to short course on October 1.  The inside pool is under renovation, leaving our simmers at a disadvantage because they are unable to practice short course.  The more requests they receive the more apt they are to accommodate our school teams.  The inside pool may not be ready until the end of October so it's critical that our swimmers have the opportunity to practice short course.

Thanks to you all, let's have a wonderful season!
