East Swim Team Morning Breakfast 2015-2016

Our breakfasts are held on Wednesday mornings for our varsity swimmers and Fridays for the entire team. In the past, the numbers have been about 12-15 kids on Wednesdays and 35-40 kids on Fridays. We strongly encourage multiple families to cover the Friday breakfasts. Generally, the swimmers are out of the pool at 7:00 and we strongly advise that the food be in place and ready to go around that time (hungry boys seem to get ready very quickly). There are 2-3 tables in the lobby area of Steiner where the food can be set out. Steiner is very, very accommodating to allow us to feed the kids at the facility, therefore, try to bring items that are not too involved and that are already cooked. There are outlets in various locations along the East wall if needed, but they are limited. As far as the actual food here are some ideas that the swimmers gobble up: bagels and cream cheese, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, muffins, sweet rolls, chocolate milk, juice, baked French toast, donuts, ready-made breakfast burritos, breakfast casseroles etc. We have seen parents be very creative in the past, but honestly, these kids are so appreciative of ANY offering. Please keep in mind that plate, utensils, cups etc. must be provided by the host families as well. Most of the kids will be done eating and on their way by 7:30.
