Weekly Email: October 5-10, 2015

Hi Swimmers and Families -

The Swim Season officially starts TOMORROW!!  That means practices are required, and the attendance rules will be in effect starting now.  That is: 85% attendance is required to swim in the meets.  Meets start Nov 6th. Practices will now run 3pm-4:30pm Mon-Thurs.  On Wednesdays, we will swim from 3-4 and then do some dryland from 4:15 to 4:45.

To be allowed to attend practice, I need to see the swimmers name on the registermyathlete roster, and I need to have a physical turned in. As of this evening, the following swimmers are good to go:

Allison Buhler, Maddie Day, Madison Dunn, Lauren Hash, Ally Hopson, Peyton Ledbetter, Chloe McDonald, Stephanie Price, Meghan Rainier, Emma Robinson, Jessie Service, Mary Sloan, Ian Ashworth, Daxton Chelius, Griffin Hale, Oskar Joost, Jackson Keller, Zach Olson, Adam Oviedo, Connor Rich, Jack Swanson, James Tippets, Cameron Wright

Everyone else is missing something.  Some of you, I have a physical, but you are not on registermyathlete.  Some of you show up there, but I don't have a physical, or it hasn't been cleared through the AD - possibly missing pages, or signatures.  Please check with me if you think everything should be in!  There are a LOT of you who are not cleared to practice!

Thank you to all the swimmers that came out to help paint the E and make fundraiser signs.  East administration has donated $400.00 to the swim team for your hard work and enthusiasm with this service project!

Wednesday Karen Day will be taking pictures for the team directory.  She will be trying to get a dry and a wet picture of each swimmer.

Also on Wednesday, Jodie Swanson will also be at Steiner with the fit kit.  If you have not tried on a suit during non-required practices please see Jodie on Wednesday before practice.

FINAL GEAR ORDER is due to the East Treasurer by Friday, October 9th!  If you missed the first order, this is your last chance.

Pancake Breakfast/Auction:  THANK YOU to all of the parents, ESPECIALLY Joslin Wright, and swimmers who helped with the fundraiser on Saturday. The team raised over $3300.00 dollars. We are still calculating the total amount (ticket total amounts turned in at the treasurer not included). This money will be used throughout the year for activities, equipment, team banquet, and to pay for our trip to Cedar City. GREAT job!

Go East!
