Weekly Email:  January 4-8, 2016 --Happy New Year!


Happy New Year Swimmers and Swim Families!!



Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in the Friends and Family meet!  I hope it was a fun way to end 2015!



As we head in to January, the swim schedule is busy, and it will go by fast!  Our region meet is Friday January 29th  which is the end of the season for those who will not be swimming at the state meet (Feb 12-13).



This Week:
  • Monday, Jan. 4 – Back to regular practice schedule
  • Wednesday, Jan. 6 – Varsity Breakfast provided by Maddie Day and Family 
  • Thursday, Jan. 7 - City Meet @ West - AWAY MEET – BUS at 1:30pm
  • Thursday, Jan. 7 - Bus Snacks provided by Payton Ledbetter and Family
  • Thursday, Jan. 7 - Dinner at B and D's after City Meet
  • Friday, Jan. 8 - Breakfast provided by Jessie Service and Family

Heads up for Next Week:
  • Wednesday, Jan. 13 – Varsity Breakfast provided by Nate Van Buren and Family
  • Wednesday, Jan. 13 - Last day to pay $30 to the EAST Treasurer
  • Friday, Jan 15 – Morning practice 6-7am
  • Friday, Jan. 15 - CedarCity Invite - AWAY MEET – Bus at 8:45am
  • Saturday, Jan. 16 - Cedar City Invite - AWAY MEET – Return at 7pm???

I have included a tentative itinerary for our trip NEXT week.  PLEASE let me know ASAP if you have decided not to go with us.


There are a few of you who have not maintained an eligible attendance percentage, and there are several of you who are in danger of not qualifying to go with the team to Cedar.  See the attendance summary below.


There are a few things to be taken care of.


  • Cost: Pay $30 to the EAST Treasurer by Wed. Jan 13th
  • Class: Remember – you will miss classes on Friday Jan 15th (B Day) PLAN ahead!
  • Practice: Keep attendance percentage up
  • Forms: We are missing some forms for a few of you. These were passed out at the beginning of the year for this trip, but you can print them out and turn them in to me now.

 Attendance:

  • 100%+: Allison, Kanna, Maddie, Madison, Lauren, Stephanie, Meghan, Mary, Jackson, Connor
  • 90-99%: Sammy, Ally, Madeline, Katy, Chloe, Jessie, Eleanor, Noah, Daxton, Rob, Griffin, Jared, Oskar, Alex, Jack, Cam
  • 85-89%: Jamie, Jesper, Julius, Zach, Dylan, James
  • 84%: Mae, Adam, Hank (Don’t be late, don’t miss a practice!)
  • 82-83%: Busra, Ian (need at least 1 make-up)
  • 80-81%: Nicole S, Ramsey (need at least 2 make-ups)
  • 79%: Austin (need 3 make-ups)
  • Peyton, Abbey, Nate – all are below agreed on percentage – need to attend practices
  • Below 78% - Nicole B, Lindsay, Jojo – ineligible for Cedar City trip

There are only THREE possible JV make-ups between now and Cedar:  Two Mondays (Jan 4 and 11) and working the Freshman Fair (Jan 13th)
